SUMMARY:Onzain Twinning Tour
DESCRIPTION:As part of the 2026 Twinning Celebration organised between Darley Dale\, Flein in Germany and Onzain\, the Fishpond Choir will be travelling to the beautiful Loire Valley in May to perform in a joint concert. \nA joint concert will take place in the town on the Saturday evening. \nAs well as rehearsing and spending time getting to know our kind hosts locally\, the choir will have the opportunity to visit the local Chateau\, and naturally\, enjoy the delights of a nearby vineyard. \nThis is the second time the Fishpond Choir has visited Onzain to perform\, and for a number of members\, it is a very welcome return trip.  We also hope to reciprocate and welcome the choirs to Deryshire in subsequent years!

DESCRIPTION:Join The Fishpond Choir at The Whitworth Centre in Darley Dale on Saturday 18th April to learn contrasting pieces by two of our greatest contemporary composers\, Karl Jenkins and Bob Chilcott:\nChorale: Elegia\, Karl JenkinsThe Skye Boat Song\, Bob Chilcott\n  \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Timings: \n10.30am Registration & Coffee11.00am to 3.00pm Workshopincluding break for lunch (bring your own/visit the Whitworth Coffee Shop) \nThere will be an informal sing through at the end of the workshop\, which we will film to share on social media. \nMusical Director: Claire De la HayeAccompanist: Jon Hickinbotham \nSingers of all levels of experience are welcome to join us and we will learn both pieces from scratch on the day.
